And you don't want a part of the "trillion dollar hemp industry?"
Funny story...true story. I have a friend that was a board member on the MS Food Policy Council. They are an organization that attempts to promote healthy eating, farmers markets and generally good lifestyles.
The board is filled with leftists...most of which are very well intentioned (if not closet racists that cannot see past their own noses).
Well, long story short, they have tried to promote community gardens in SW Jackson (the lowest income, highest crime area of the city).
The concept has gone over like a lead balloon, yet the leftist on the board just don't get it. They would never be a proponent of limiting or restricting entitlements, such as food stamps, based on caloric content, but wonder why these people don't want to put the work in to a garden that will give them free, healthy food. They are then shocked when people destroy these gardens for fun.
The trillion dollar industry made me laugh out loud. If you could get the populace to actually work to grow a product (big IF), the chances of preserving, protecting and selling would be astronomically low.
Jackson is prime example of what giving a man a meal does to a society, as opposed to teaching him how to acquire a meal and expecting him to sink or swim thereafter.
