I am still not sure what your point is. Are you trying to say the Western Conference isn't respected because the Spurs are good? You do realize that the Eastern Conference has been historically bad this year right?

But the media in this country is located on the Eastern Seaboard so those teams all get more exposure
Even though the Knicks blow they still get treated like an elite team
