What. The. Frick.? How can anybody dog Morello's talent? Maybe try listening to some other Morello projects that aren't RATM. "Be Yourself" is one of the prettiest guitar riffs I've ever heard as simple as it is. The "Promenade" solo from SSSC is ridiculous. He's got a few on that album actually. Have you seen the guitar solo he did with Springsteen at the RnR HOF? Nightwatchman solo project? I'd put him up against almost anyone today if they had to mimic the other person's playing.

Uh - he's a noisemaker in front of an extremely bada$$ rhythm section... that's how.
I'm not saying he can't play - he just isn't NEARLY a candidate for this list. Not nearly...
