If he loves the game, why are you worried? I played all sports growing up and gravitated to soccer and tennis exclusively around 12 or 13. The other sports just bored me to play.
ETA: Son plays club and high school soccer.
Because he's extremely talented at other sports too. I'd hate to see him put everything on Soccer.
He's the best in his age group in town at Baseball, Basketball and Football. He's not nearly as talented at soccer. He has a terrible attention span

Soccer can take him places it's not like when we grew up. Scholarships to college and private schools are out there now. I've played soccer around the world when I was in the service. We are very very behind in the sport compared to other countries but we're catching up. We need the best athletes like your son to play the sport. He'll grow into the sport. I played every sport there is and soccer took me the furthest.

I see more and more black kids playing soccer and it's a beautiful thing . If more black dudes played , USA would be legit

Yep, he played each sport for a year and blew away the competition. Just wants to play soccer.
Just curious, how much competition is there in Alaska actually? I haven't seen many Division I athletes come out of Alaska.
