Oh, I don't think players are overpaid at all. I think the wrong players are paid at the wrong times. (Pujols, Hamilton, ARod,etc.)
Paying a guy 30 mil per till he's 40 doesn't make much sense. THe Tigers will be lucky to get 3-4 good years on that contract.
Cabrera + Verlander in 4 years is going to be 60 million dollars worth of mediocrity a year for the Tigers.

I don't understand the "players are overpaid" mentality. Who would y'all rather get the money that the sport generates? The owners who don't do shite?
