Don't get all upset. No need. I'm aware of that. The onus is on the guy getting on. I have no problem making it easier for everyone when possible, though.
If merger guy wants to get all upset, he's an idiot.
And really, I'd say a lot of the time the reason I move is because I fully expect merger guy to be a retard, and possibly cause a crash, so I'd rather drive defensively, since I'm clearly superior to him.

Well, obviously.
ETA: Joking aside, I fully expect that too. That's why I go ahead and check my mirror and blind spot in case I have to make the lane change spilt second. But I don't actually change lanes for them.
