I realize I am late to this thread, but my cousins moved out there after Katrina.

Bozeman is an incredible place if you like skiing, hiking, 4 wheeling, mountain bike riding, etc.

Less than 10 minutes outside of Bozeman is Bridger Bowl, a great local ski resort. Less than an hour and a half away is Big Sky, one of the best ski resorts in the country. Montana never has any lines at the ski lifts.

If museums are more your thing, Museum of the Rockies is a nice little museum.

I have been travelling to Bozeman once or twice a year since 2006. I love it.

Ahhh you just describe my life to the dot. Sub Bozeman for Glenwood Springs and change the names of the ski resorts.

I had 6 weeks off work in February and March. I skied over 30 days, did some snow 4X4ing and trout fished a few days.

And winter is the slow season. Things will pick up soon.
