Payton on losing Sproles " I think you can expect (Travaris) Cadet to take on a little more of that role" #saints
I know some people didn't think he would be a replacement for Sproles, but it looks like Sean disagrees.

I think he can do some of what Sproles did well...we don't necessarily need to completely replace the production, because we will hopefully get more offense from Ingram/Robinson rushing yards.
...we don't need 150 receptions between Thomas/Cadet

Ugh. If Payton thinks so, I guess I'm cool with it. But man, I've just seen nothin from that guy besides that one long kickoff return. Which I believe was in the Niners game this year...I think?

why does anyone have to replace sproles?
why does everyone expect someone to replace the same exact role a previous player had with the team? are we not capable of executing a different game plan? can our coaches not come up with new plays to fit the personnel we have?
everyone gets so stuck on insisting that once a player leaves, we need to find someone of the exact same caliber and mold to replace them when in reality all that matters is scoring points...
how you score is not important as long as the offense keeps moving
ETA: meateye, this post was not directed at you, just to the board in general

I think Cadet will surprise alot of people this season. Hes a good pass catching back with deceptive speed and shiftiness. Hes great in space after the catch just like sproles was and hes a better returner. Sproles was absolutley terrible at returns. Yet the media would always bring up how "dangerous" of a return man he was everytime he was back to receive. Shows how much they pay attention.

What I've seen of Cadet makes me think he's a poor man's Darren Sproles. Good hands but he's slow as frick and awful acceleration.
