and you are breaking the law if you disobey a cop. it says right here in statute 329.1.5 (c)
The cop is not a king. If the driver wanted to not take the SFST and the cop forced her, then her attorney should intervene. I just hope Jarrett brought a lot of business cards to jail.

Cant be having attorneys talking to their clients can we? That would be unamerican.

Yeah I didn't get that either. I guess people just don't know their rights.

Anyone that interferes with that is breaking the law, lawyer or not.
Advising someone of their rights is interfering? What planet are you from?

I apologize for rolling my eyes.
Its just you can modify and what if things to death and create confusing scenarios.
But my argument is that the law supports the arrest of a passenger exiting the vehicle and interjecting themselves into the investigation.

Agreed. He did and was arrested.
This will get thrown out.
This cop and this attorney will have plenty of interactions as well in the future in court rooms and the attorney will win. Cop is just butthurt.

That passenger was his attorney

You guys have reading comprehension problems. Like I said, just a bunch of criminals in here. I bet the total arrests in this thread is pretty high.

No, the attorney should have that test suppressed in court.

A cop is doing a roadside investigation.
The investigation was over as soon as the attorney advised his client. End of story. There was nothing to interfere with at that point.
The cop was unhappy that the DD now knew their rights. It is cops like this that cause the comments you see under the YT videos about cops being killed.
Many people do not like cops and think that it is just one less thug to bother them. Cops acting like this one is one of the reasons.

Arrests are high with this one.

Ok, and if she was arrested, after she had been booked into jail the attorney could have contacted the jail and set up a visitation with her.
That is how the system works.
This isn't Law and Order where the attorney bursts into the interview room and stops an interview. For an attorney to stop an investigation, it has to have an order signed by a judge.

Judges, attorneys, anyone that understand the Constitution.

You think a lawyer can stop an investigation?
Next time you watch Law & Order pay attention to the words. An investigation is not the same as an interrogation or questioning.
Legally, I don't think anyone has the ability stop an investigation because they say so.

Are you really stupid enough to think any judge will allow that?

If you refuse the test in Louisiana, do you lose your license? If so, dumbass lawyer almost screwed her over.
