Apparently not. I mean we have a local CBS reporter (per the link in the OP) reporting that Carney receives questions prior to the WH briefing. It wouldn't be news if it was common knowledge.
It would be interesting to hear some feedback from other WH press secretaries on their experience with this issue.

That wasn't news so much as it was a "day in the life of " in depth story from a local TV station....and of course The Weekly Standard runs it like it's some sort of scoop.
Do you really think this is the first administration to do this yet nobody in the White House Press Corps (including Fox, Washington Times,etc.) has said anything about it? Are they in on the liberal media conspiracy too?
