smell the fluid if smells burnt you need a trans. i think you need one anyway. never go with a rebuilt just get a good used trans. call blacks salvage in brusly they should have one or can get one for a great price.
buy it then call a few shops and see how much to get it installed. dont go to the dealer. also the closer to the hood the cheaper the labor. call the asians they will do it for a great price.
