Aisin is the company who builds transmissions. Toyota, suzuki, jeep. The new HD dodge now runs an Aisin trans if I remember right.
They build good parts.
One reason I imagine people swap to the aw4 found in cherokees.

Yep... the Aisin AW4 is about as bulletproof a tranny you'll find.
The Aisin 6 speed is an option on the 2500/3500...otherwise you're getting the Chrysler 6 speed.
