It's the worst male fashion statement ever. This is contrary to the gay article I just read.

Any of you homos use one?

I wasn't trying to pile on and say it was exclusively a gay thing (although, I'm not sure I'd rock one), just that I remembered seeing a definitely confirmed gay dude wearing one last night.

I've got two. I'm not exactly trying to make a fashion statement, but I've got a long torso, so it helps keep my tie in place, especially if the narrow end doesn't reach the keeper.

This.

I don't use a tie clip, but I do have to use a little pin for this purpose.

If those are your stupid arse shoes in your avatar then you definitely don't need to be casting stones about tie clips

I like them because I hate having my tie flop around. But I bought one but always forget to wear it, so my tie flops around anyway.

but not one with a chain. I like them and it keeps a tie in check.

And also, tie bars are already back in style, so you might want to accelerate your anti tie bar efforts.

I do know that most men over 40 refuse to wear them because their fathers/grandfather's wore them.

small and discreet ones look great on a slim low-profile suit.

90's are over bro. Get rid of your giant MC Hammer pleats while you're at it.
