What is its platform. I honestly don't know.
The Tea Party is focused more on the massive government debt and the entitlement state. They are for lower taxes (individual, small business) but are at odds with big business on several issues. These people don't mind shutting the government down or defaulting on our debt to win a fight. The tactics of the Tea Party can be compared to a kamikaze pilot. Obviously, they hate ObamaCare because it adds to our national debt and is more government control.
These people are good Americans. I'm not criticizing them just giving an honest description. They are split on defense issues, social issues but united against the establishment of their own party. Rough estimates place them at slightly less than 1/3 of the GOP vote. They are the grassroots movement along with the libertarian wing of the party.
