After reading what you quoted, that's one of the clearest things he's ever said. Seemed pretty straight forward to me.
Cliffs:
You play football, you get hurt. Guys may get tired faster vs up-tempo teams. If they do, we sub them out. It can be a pain to do but hey, that's football. It hasn't been an issue for us, as evidence by our kicking the asses of Oregon, Auburn, and TAMU

This, he's pointing out that football causes injury by nature and his team hasn't had any issue with HUNH like a pimp.
