Clear Springs, Homochitto Forest. Playground/ swimming, many miles of hiking/biking trails, both primitive and hookup sites. Be careful walking the trails after mississippi turkey season starts (March 15th). Public hunting brings out the worst kind of hunter.

I stumbled upon this place while returning from a weekend in Natchez. I like the swimming area, but I'm kinda skittish because the water is the ideal environment for the amoeba that eats your brain.

I was being facetious literally about a "Free Candy" van. There's some sketchy folk about in some of the campgrounds named here, sorry if that strikes a nerve.

Go most anywhere on the planet, there's sketchy folks but living and sleeping next to them is different than shopping next to them.
