If I was coach and he mentioned another coach he respected in a conversation with me, he would immediately drop on my board, just because that shows a lack of respect. You don't bring up other coaches when you talking about wanting an offer from LSU. If he respects Saban so much, tell Saban I could care less.

From this Fans point of view he dropped from my want list.

Well I'm glad you're a guy on an Internet board and not a coach then

Get over yourself. When this kid comes to LSU, you'll cheer for him as hard as any other fan who didn't make that ridiculous comment.

In the world we live in, honesty is now a negative trait.
How many have committed, waited until the last day, then switched. Honorable?
Don't ask the question if you can't handle the answer.

1. We don't know the context of the conversation.

2. Like it or not, Saban is the name in college football. ESPN (Tom Luginwhatever especially) talks about him non-stop. It's like a recruit from Texas in the 90's saying he respects Tom Osborn. I'm sure Texas people hated it, but it's what's been in these kids faces their whole life pretty much.

3. What if he told bama coaches he respected Les Miles? Would you still be butthurt?
