Because the average person thinks it's 'welfare queens'(wink wink) & their children who get Medicaid, but 70-75% of Medicaid are those thrown into nursing homes.


I know it's easy to villainize the poor as usual ,but Medicaid is not restricted to the poor. Many middle class / working class elderly people are the ones getting much of the Medicaid dollars via shuttling Granny, Auntie, Uncle,etc.. Into nursing homes.
