Natchez State Park right outside of Natchez is worth a look. Trails, fishing and cabins. I went there a couple of weeks ago and it was nice. Deer everywhere too.

You can do all those things at Tickfaw. First state park I had went to in LA but I was real impressed.

I'm sure Bogue Chitto would be great as well.
