Next Christmas I want a Scooba to clean the floors as nearly all of my house is hardwood. Hell, I may buy it before then.

My house is all wood outside of rugs we put down. Does the scooba handle hard wood all by itself or does the wood need to be vacuumed before the Scooba scrubs?

I could probably google this but screw that.

Whoa, $500. I thought they were less than that. Will hold off and ask for Christmas next year when they have a newer model out.

3 step process. It does 150 sq ft at a time.

quote:

Step 1: Sweep and Pre-Soak
Scooba prepares the floor by sweeping up loose dirt and debris and putting down a thin sheen of water or iRobot Hard Floor Cleaner to soak into any stuck-on messes, much like the way we soak dishes before washing them.

Step 2: Scrub and Squeegee-Vacuum
A powerful scrubbing brush spins at over 600 RPM to remove grime and stuck-on messes while the squeegee vacuum suctions dirty water off the floor.

Step 3: Squeegee-Finish
Scooba ends with a final squeegee-finish cycle so all that is left is a clean floor.
