Sorry to hear man. Cancer is the worst way to go, IMO. I hope the both of you are able to do a few things while he still can and leave you with some awesome memories.

My mother in law is currently in remission from it. So there is hope.

My best friend of over 20 years, El Josey Wales, was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal lung cancer last October. He lived 47 days and I was in contact with him in some capacity up until 8 hours before he passed away. The only thing I can offer is this....

Be sure to be there for him offering comfort in any capacity every step of the way. The cancer fight is brutal for everyone involved. Nothing about it is fair and there is no way you can explain it. EJW never used tobacco in his life and this type of cancer killed him. It still does not make sense two and a half months later, and I'm sure it never will.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family.

It sounds as though your Uncle raised you well. The both of you will be in my prayers. God Bless.

Done.

You'll value this time more than any other. None of us make it out alive.

Pancreatic cancer is bad. The prognosis is dreadful: 25% survival over 1 year and only 5% over 5 years.

My sympathies and prayers for your family.

Sorry to hear that. A couple of years ago my family got the call that my grandmother was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. She was gone two weeks later.

Sorry to hear about your bad news.

I find mortality to be something that is hard to come to terms with and struggle with the knowledge that not only are my parents going to die soon, but I and everyone I know, will one day cease to exist as well.

All we can do is make the best of it and work with what we've got. I hope he fights this and wish you guys the best of luck.
