To each his own. You wouldn't imagine the amount of failed hard drives we see that were the only backup set. Personally, I like to just be able to set it up and not have to worry about it, especially for $10 a month. Just make sure you have multiple backup drives in case of failure and your most critical stuff online somewhere.
