The fact that I'd have to rely on other people to cut the cord is what keeps me from doing it
I'm not judging those that do, but it seems that the people that brag the most about saving money by cutting the cord are the ones mooching ESPN and hbo passwords from others.
I like the convenience of my TV and DVR
Adam, you should at least wait until after football season, JMO

I want to try it out when I move for a few months. I love DirecTV, but I don't watch anything on it but Disney Jr., MLB Network and the movies. I feel like if I had Roku and an HD antenna, I could watch movies, I have an MLB.TV account, I have my buddy's login with Cox, and I can catch all the NFL games over the air in HD.
I'm not trying to be a cost cutting savior superhero, I just don't see why I'm paying $85/mo for all this crap I don't watch.
Oh, also, my Samsung plasma TV broke for good. I had to call Samsung to see what I could do. They sent me to Executive Customer Relations, which just means I got to speak to an American. So, they extended my TV's warranty to cover the repairs. When my TV broke I heard a pop and a crackle and I smellt electrical fire. It was cool. And sad at the same time.
