I met some young people from Texas when I was 7 or 8.
As I recall, to them, I was a
"n-word loving New York Jew commie", and I was 8.
I was never trained in Judaism and never met a communist.
I presume they got that racial prejudice shite from moms and dads. They had the New York part right anyhow. I was born on Long Island.
I had had a person of color over to my home after school once.
Tragic. The Texans attacked me and tried to stone me to death to enforce their prejudice taboo, but as luck would have it, I picked the leader off with a stone to the forehead, and as his body was lying on the ground, I made a deal to get back my 2 yr old sister, whom they had kidnapped, and they took the body of their fallen leader home.
The next morning I gave his brother a bloody nose at the school bus stop and by afternoon our parents made a kind of peace.
As those who enjoy my posts have noted, I have had multiple violent interactions with racists in Louisiana and Texas, because I would not stop enjoying the company of persons of color whom I happen to like.
I just remembered a good one. My mom had a black MD come to the house to see my sister who had chicken pox. That was in Lake Charles. the neighbors were full of piss and vinegar about THAT too. We were new to town, my dad being a pilot, and we were only there for him to deal with tactical nukes, the little B-47.
We didnt have a regular MD yet. Ah those were the days.
America, the land of the free, sort of. I was so glad to see Tex lose in the BCS champ game
Damn, that was a wonderful day on the Poli board when he posted that jewel.
