its almost like the architects were about to submit a great design and then right before they finalized it the boss came in and put a bunch of legos on the top deck of the model and somehow lsu bought off on it
where else would you put concessions and bathrooms for the seats at the top....
the addition/expansion will look a lot better than people think , but some here will bitch about anything.....

Why the expansion as we don't fill the stadium we have now? If we do by the 3rd. quarter it is half full.

because all the new suites are sold out....
this program cant continue to be top tier without money to compete with other top tier schools...
it would be nice to have cheap ticket prices and a stadium full of fans that stay the whole game, but in todays game be glad we have folks with deep pockets, taf and people at the school willing to put money into the program...
if not the alternative, well we would be another mississipi stank....

It still bothers me that they aren't connecting the East and West Uppers with this new South Upper addition. Wasted space...

Get real. Its a half arse design and you know it. You dont have a great design that is symmetrical in every way, from the big screens to the seating, then go put random structures at the top of it. It looks ridiculous and makes it almost look like they were an afterthought. I'm sure you were one of the ones that thought the exposed pipe and the prison bars on the windows on the last expansion were a great look for the stadium though and thought anybody who had a bad thing to stay about it was just bitching.

its an outdoor football stadium , not built from the ground up all at once , its been added on throughout the years since it was basically two sets of bleachers...
if it were built all at once from the ground up then I can see the reason for bitching..
most of you bitching probably never stepped foot in there in the early 90s..from then till now that place is night and day in and out better looking than ever....

I think I get what your saying , having the seats match up all the way around...but if you ever sat at the top of the east upper I don't know how good of a seat that would be in the end zone being that high....
my tix are in the sez upper level about 1/2 way up and I wouldn't want to be any higher than that in the end zone...

And yet, somehow no one ever provides examples of other "top tier" schools having advertising that is as in your face or flat out as tacky as our's. Not one program. And, you can bet your arse that the new screens will be at least 30% covered in ads.

We won't do any expansion for the forseeable future, especially not in the NEZ. We just redid the entire area outside the NEZ.
I'm going out on a limb and say you're completely wrong about this. LSU will add suites to the NEZ within 5-6 years, maybe less.
LSU has identified premium seating as the wave of the future. Alabama's BDS currently has the most suites and/or premium seats in the SEC and TAMU's Kyle Field will have the 2nd most after it's finished in 2015. Tiger Stadium will have the third most in 2014, just ahead of UT's Neyland. So the NEZ is prime territory for expansion.
It's all about the Return On Investment (ROI). And premium seating gives athletic directors the most bang for the buck in terms of athletics infrastructure.
