I'd still look for an upgrade first though like we did last year and only make an offer if I have to settle.

I guess it's contingent on moving Gordon's contract?

To me the focus should be getting a center. I don't want Davis playing center. He's not a center.

Aminu has improved enough, that if he stays within his role as a defender/rebounder, he can contribute enough to where an upgrade isn't a pertinent as I thought. To me, he's the most improved of Monty's tenure. Not that's he's ready to be an all star, but to be a cohesive part of a unit.

We'd still have the MLE in play with Gordon on the roster. They didn't resign Aminu this season until they failed to sign Martell Webster if I remember the timeline correctly, so it doesn't have to be a Luol Deng level upgrade to push Aminu to the back of the line. I know there's likely bridge buring involved in this specific example, but if you could choose between Ariza and Aminu, assuming Ariza's new 3 point prowess is legit and he's still the same defender he was, who would you pick? I'd go with Ariza. What you give up in rebounding you more than make up in better defense and offense.
