I think you are closer to the truth. Not sure he's upset about much if he's a 1000 yard receiver.

That's a whole nother debate, but dad's quote in the OP is all about handling adversity. Sub-par QB play (and play-calling) is adversity. I don't know RR so I won't run my mouth about him any more than I have, but I want a guy that keeps his head up when the going gets tough. He's more likely to do that if he's in the place he really wants to be.
