So a team that has the 15th most players in the NFL and is the 15th most valuable program in the nation..... finishes in the top 10 ONLY 25% of the time??

Thats not good.

You made me curious about this so I went and looked at the other schools ranked in the top ten at the end of the season (AP poll) over the last 15 years who were one of the 15 schools with the most players in the NFL. I chose 15 years because that is the length of time Ferentz has been at Iowa and the reason for my original post being quoted. This includes his first three years where we finished the season unranked.

As you can see, Iowa has actually overachieved being #9 in top ten finishes despite only having the 15th most players in the NFL and the 15th most valuable program.

1. Ohio St. 9/15 top ten finishes
2. Bama 8/15
2. USC 8/15
4. LSU 7/15
4. Oregon 7/15
6. Florida 6/15
6. Georgia 6/15
6. Texas 6/15
9. Iowa 4/15
9. Florida St. 4/15
9. Miami 4/15
9. Wisconsin 4/15
13. South Carolina 3/15
14. Tennessee 2/15
15. Cal 1/15

No i get what you were saying.

I was just saying that having the 15th most players in the NFL in the last 15 years is a good achievement. But, being 1 of the top programs when it comes to sending players to the NFL and being 1 of the most valuable programs, Iowa has only finished in the top 10 4 times in those 15 years. Thats not an impressive achievement. And youre paying Ferentz right around $4mill a year. What that tells me is that youve got talent and the program has got the recognition. But only finished top 10 4 times since Ferentz has been there. Talent and brand is there. But the product isnt.

If there was a program that was top 15 in sending players to the NFL and was a top 15 program value wise in the past 15 years, and their coach was making top 10 $$$, I would expect them to consistently be in the top 15 in the country.

And Im an Iowa fan and want to see yall do great. But that stat isnt something worth bragging about.

Hope yall do great next year though. That CB Desmond King, #14, will be a stud in the pros.

How craptastic is Iowa, when you have money, Top 10 program, and still are 69th in recruiting.

Back to your OP, you claim we kinda suck because we played your shite 09 class, you then say they are all gone and that is why you suck. Can you clarify exactly why y'all suck, I am confused to the real reason for your suckness. Leave it to Iowa to suck in such a nondescript mediocre way
