Does Iowa tend to sign full classes of 25 guys? If so, how do y'all go about staying under the 85 limit if you rely so heavily on 5th year seniors?
No, a typical class is about 20. That 2009 class had 19, but attrition claimed over half the class and we only had 8 players finish out their career from that class. Only four of those started for more than one season. I would say in a good year we have about 15 seniors, occasionally a few more.
So, 10-15 seniors, 20-25 juniors, sophs and freshman. The seniors that make it through are typically really good players. That 2009 (and the 2008) class were exceptionally bad.
