What's a 5th year senior? Our guys are in the NFL after 3 years. Sorry, haven't time to reminisce with you. We're getting ready for Wisconsin.

Essentially a student-athlete that gets a degree. Happy for you guys and your minor league program.

Call me a purist, but college athletes should have to stay in college and earn a degree.

The same article you linked was making fun of an Iowa player for putting his education before football.

Don't you guys realize , brew is an idiot looking for attention . Don't let him get to you . Iowa sucks , and their "great" linebackers got used .

If Iowa would've faced an LSU team full of players who have stayed on a minimum of 4 years, the game would've been over by the end of the 1st quarter. With a 4th year requirement for NFL eligibility, the competitive gap between top tier teams and teams like Iowa would be much larger. Getting to an Outback caliber bowl would be your national championship.
