The problem with the HCIW concept is that you need one of two things to pull it off successfully: a firm exit date for the old coach, or the HCIW willing to wait around on staff without a firm date. The former is obviously ideal, but rare. The latter limits the caliber of coach you're going to get, as a top-flight guy is going to have competing offers every year.
