I just don't understand how these 2 statements can both be accurate.
If she didn't know he had a family, then she either didn't know him very well, or she didn't want to know.
I don't buy it.

Look, this isn't some guy working at a plant off shore. He is a well known famous professional athlete.
If she did not know he was married, it is because she didn't want to know.
