These guys don't play for us. They play for their teammates and coaches. At the end of the season, if your options are make guaranteed money in the NFL, or come back and, best case scenario, improve your draft stock by a round--as a running back, you take the money and put all of your time, energy, and resources into making yourself the best pro player you can be. Weigh it against the possibility of lowering his draft stock if he doesn't produce as well as this year, or the worst case scenario--injury. This is a no brainer.

Quite personally Idgaf if we win another national championship. Better things to worry about. I just feel like a team that knows going into next year they have a legitimate chane at contending for the national championship, would retain more players. Maybe I'm wrong for believing that kids do want to win the championship? Best of luck to him and anyone else who declares for the draft.
