Why all the coaching changes a t Bama. i KNOW that each team has maybe one a year but looks like bama is having some wholesale changes. Do they not have the money to match other schools going after their coaches after Saban got that 2.5 million dollar raise?
Our assistants are already some of the highest paid in the NCAA. They would get another raise if Saban asked for it. He really just feels like he needs to shake things up so he's told some guys to look elsewhere for jobs. We really did need a new DL coach.

Naw, people are jumping ship. Coaches and players are all wanting to get out the toxic environment. Why do you think Bama got smoked by Oklahoma? No one wanted to be there anymore. Players telling recruits not come was just the tip of the iceberg.

The thing that fascinates me is that Saban is willing to essentially start from scratch with his coaching staff. Given that everything he touches that isn't teal & white turns to gold, it'll likely work in his favor. My troubleshooting skills tell me, though, that it's risky to change a bunch of stuff at once, because if it doesn't work then you don't know which component made the whole thing fizzle.

New DC?
New DL coach?
New LB coach?
Lane "Bulletproof Hair" Kiffin?

By the way he's making changes, you'd think he just took the job at Bama.
