Anyone use Gyft with Ink Thought it was 5x UR. After jumping through hoops to make first purchase of a gift card it isn't showing 5x points

Looking through my stack of CC and I have a few that I haven't used in forever. I have a Sam's club CC (I use Costco now) and another from Synchrony bank - which I haven't used in 3 years and don't plan on using it again.
Should I close these cards or keep them open?

I booked it for roughly $290 + fees = $350/night. When I drove through the hotels, there was nothing <$500/night from when I looked that was even remotely at that level for All Inclusive
The real bargain would be doing a Spring booking with points when I've seen prices at $700-800+ per night. Going when the weather was 75-80 would have made this trip 10x better

Appreciate it. I plan on staying at Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall in Jamaica next year. I'll write up the same + take better pictures. Probably will make it a blog post and link just so it doesn't take up an entire page again
