I have already reserved a pontoon boat and a snorkeling trip.

Let me know how that goes and if worth it.

Pontoon boat rentals seemed to be a fairly decent price considering everything else.

You'll want to do a shark/ray snorkel tour. The amount of sharks and rays in the area is incredible(see also ball shriveling). Snorkeling in Bora Bora lacks pretty reefs/fish for the most part though.

You can find many of these excursions cheaper on the island when you are there, but you lose the ease of the hotel handling all the details for you.

I did the pontoon in Maldives and we did like it, maybe do here as well.

We plan on doing the shark/ray snorkle. Also, we booked directly with the companies for the pontoon and snorkle instead of going through the resort. They told me that they have contracts with the hotel, so once you get on the resort, you have to pay the higher fee through the resort. The strong dollar also makes both these excursions cheaper to go ahead and lock in now.

On another thought, do you guys think putting destinations / hotels you have traveled to (rewards or no rewards) and experiences in this thread or a new thread would be beneficial. It just seems to have a wealth of travel information here, and I think it would be a nice resource to have.
