If you are a certified diver you get a free 2 tank boat dive every day.

My fiancé and I are headed to Sandals St. Lucia after our wedding in a couple weeks for our honeymoon. My question is does anyone have any recommendations for excursions/adventures? I know most everything on resort is free but I imagine after a couple days you might be looking for something different off-site. The website lists a bunch of different excursions through third-party companies so just looking for some advice. Also, how much cash should I bring? I'll have my credit cards but just seeing if taking out cash beforehand is necessary. Any other tips appreciated.

We stayed at Sandals Grande - had an awesome time.... Here are a couple of excursions that we did that I would def recommend.

1) The Treetop Zip Line (there is a certain guide you want though... Can't remember his name, its something simple like Bob, but the dude is great...he is the main guide but has 1 or 2 days off during the week so you will need to ask about that & schedule on a day he works)

2) Simon Says Tour --- I didn't see this one listed on their site anymore but I'm sure they still have it since its always been one of the most popular. Its a boat tour that stops off for snorkeling, hot spring mud bath, etc... a good tour to get a lot of stuff in one afternoon.

A lot of people will say to book these before you go but we booked while we were there... I wanted to get there and see what it was all about before I planned out my week.

** Also I would definitely recommend the helicopter transfer from airport to resort.. It cost $150/pp but was well worth it. The bus shuttle from airport to Sandals Resorts is nearly 2hrs. After a morning of traveling the last thing I wanted to do was get on a crowded bus for 2hrs. took the heli and were having a drink by the pool 90 min before the bus arrived. Plus the ride is a tour so you get to see and learn about a lot of stuff on the flight over. (we actually ended up doing the helicopter on the ride back to airport as well)

sorry for the long post...If I think of anything else I'll let you know..

Brother went there on his honeymoon a few years ago. Beautiful place from the pictures I've seen, but a local banana farmer almost machete'ed my brother while they were on an island tour...
