I would agree that Strong won't have much impact on LSU's Texas recruiting. As others have pointed out, Texas is a huge state and the Horns can only take so many. The Horns are hoping that there will be two differences from Mack: (1) he won't have as many busts due to taking premature commitments (something which allowed Mack to get an edge over A&M when he started doing that in the late '90s, but which burned him late in his tenure more often than not); and (2) that Strong might cherry pick some recruits from Florida to fill areas of need (particularly on defense, where Texas high school talent sometimes comes up short due to 7-on-7 and the emphasis now placed on offense, a 180 degree change from what it was in pre-Madonna times where the triple option ruled the day).
