The word is out. (Pumpers, Cheerleaders and those with short attention spans stop reading right now and move on)

LSU aint "Elite" any longer.

There's no incentive to stay in school, struggle in the classroom and play for third place in the S.E.C. West. No incentive to bust your arse on the practice field and return for the chance to play in a high protein animal meat Bowl.

They know what the coaching situation is.

They have no interest in academics, getting a degree, Louisiana State University or the football program sponsored by said school. They want to play for an S.E.C. and National Championship. In their eyes, there is little to no hope for that, so the "Lure of da N.F.L. $$$$$$$$ Animal" is the primary motivation and THEY GONE!

They "Stick" a little longer at other places because maybe they feel there's hope for a Championship and feel that hanging around another year is worth it. At LSU, not so much.

That's why I ranted a few days ago about the initiation and implimentation of a pro football minor league system just like in baseball. Make your choice right out of high school. Go the pro route and play professional football or go play college football for four years. No flip flopping either. If you decide on the pro route out of HS, then the forfeiture of the right to play college football goes into effect. Don't make it as a professional for whatever reasons, then go flip burgers or work at Wal-Mart.

You makes your choices and takes your chances!

BTW, the word is also out with high school recruits as well. No way LSU should ever be losing so many Louisiana HS Blue Chippers to out of state SEC schools. There's no in-state competition and unacceptable to be losing a higher % of Louisiana recruits with each passing season. More power to the Leonard Fournette's of Louisisna, but there's currently a "Perception" out there (Whether or not it's based in reality) that you're more likely to win an SEC/National Championship and be better prepared for the NFL if you go elsewhere. Whether or not if that's reality doesn't matter. There's a growing perception that it is and that's troubling. Why would the number one Offensive Lineman in the state of Louisisna want to go play football for Alabama?

Son, you are a retard.

LSU is presently a top 5 program nationwide.

We have guys leaving early because we have a lot of talent.

Think about it, we had two RBs leave last year because THEY DID NOT WANT TO COMPETE FOR PLAYING TIME AT LSU.

Odell and Jarvis SHOULD go pro. They are guaranteed to both be drafted in the top 3 rounds, which means they are NFL starters.

Every 5 years, we get 125 scholarships. Out of these, we get to keep 85 on scholarship. Do you really think we won't have 85 scholarship players? Do you want 85 blue chippers? Or would you prefer 45 blue chippers and 40 "student athletes"?

We are upset over the lose of four kids. FOUR. Hootie Jones thought he was better than he was, snubbed us for Bama and we UPGRADED. When we didn't return his calls because we had a better player, he went crawling back to Alabama.

Speedy Noil apparently did not want to compete with Dupre and Quinn. We will see how he likes playing in College Station now that their once-in-a-generation QB is gone and their coach will be gone after his freshman season.

Gerald Willis must really just want to leave the state. He had an opportunity to play for championships early and instead is going to a team that has decent players at his position and his position only. Florida won't go 4-8 again, but they will be no better than 8-4, which will mean a new coach for him too. He'll be fine, because he has talent. But Valentine will be a fine replacement. Willis will regret his choice ultimately.

Cam Robinson is the only real loss here. He is a rare talent. But there was no way that kid was coming here. We were only in play because we were the home state school. He is the only one that we can be critical of the coaching staff for. Had Bama not gotten the mulligan and whipped us in 2011 and had we not played prevent at the end of both halves in 2012, this might all be a different story. And, maybe if Cameron Robinson were born with more love in his heart for where he is from (a la Fournette) maybe it all wouldn't have mattered. Maybe if Cam Robinson didn't hear LSU "fans" dog on its coaching staff and laud the guy in Alabama so much, he might not have been so willing to be a turncoat. It is what it is.

Of course, we have signed a top safety and top CB from Texas. We have a great DE coming from Oklahoma. We have a great DB coming from Mississippi and an absolute beast MLB coming from Illinois. These guys all want to be part of something special. They politely disagree with you, Mr. "BRAVEHEART" that LSU "ain't 'Elite' any longer."

LSU is elite. LSU will have (yet again) a top 5 recruiting class. LSU will (yet again) be in a position in 2014 and 2015 to play for a national title. LSU fans like you would do more for the program if you would only STFU and enjoy winning 10+ games a year with a shot at all of the marbles EVERY YEAR instead of lamenting.

This program's #1 enemy is its own fans.
