Based on 2013 data...

TAMU: 489 pass attempts (339 comp)
LSU: 326 pass attempts (205 comp)

WRs are getting 163 more attempts, so roughly 10 more catches a game. We run 4 WR sets. LSU runs 2 (maybe 3) with a full back and TE most of the time.

If I were a big bruising RB, I'd go to LSU. If I was a WR, I'd take my chances at A&M.
you just said it yourself, 339 completions to 4 WRs ("per capita" 84.75 comp/WR) as compared to 205 comp per 2 WRs ("per capita" 102 comp/rec).

That's why LSU has 2 going into the draft and 2 1k yd receivers.

(by the way... this doesn't even matter in recruiting some kids, Speedy included).

If year-2-year performance was the deciding factor TAMU wouldn't even get 3*'s on D.
