Comparing numbers when you have more games still doesn't solve the issue of proportionality which is inherent in this problem. The second issue is the selection bias. You start with the presumption that what has been done is the best and then you go back and find stats to prove it.

It is using nominal numbers like a drunk uses a light pole--for support, not illumination.

You're trying way too hard to minimize what Miles has done since he's been here.

I like Les. I'm proud of what he's done. I'm trying to help you understand why we should question several things; namely, whether 4 years is the correct period to evaluate, whether raw numbers is the best metric to use, whether winning percentage over some given amount of time might be a useful thing to look at. Just because someone questions the methodology of LSU's manufactured narrative that they have been putting over since we lost our third game does not mean that they are anti-anything other than LSU's attempt to create meaning beyond we won a key bowl matchup and we look solid going forward. I ask that you think about it critically and take it at face value. If after doing that, you still don't see the issues I've pointed out, that's fair enough.

I think if Les does what we think he's going to pull off tonight and holds them until signing day, that accomplishment will outstrip any arbitrary amount of 10 win seasons or bowl championships. It will help set up what I think will be his best run yet.
