I hope and pray for AJ to do very well but people vastly underestimate the talents of the Mettsiah. Next year will be a definite step back in the passing game.

ya think?

we're going from a 5th yr senior who had a yr of starting experience to a true soph who'll have 1 start under his belt, and likely losing 2 WRs who caught the vast majority of said 5th yr senior's passes.

Nah. The main difference will be that Jennings will spread the ball around. Mett has looked completely different anytime one of his two targets became injured. Ole Miss read it well and he looked completely different the second half of the year. Also, when the pass rush gets too bad (r the line just gives up like they have often), He'll be abl to run around long enough to find somebody open.

What we lose in arm strength and experience, we gain in versatility and pocket presence. Also, he has a quick release and touch like Jarrett Lee. I think we'll move up and down the field once he gets into a groove. What will be the key is, can he not make mistakes of the turnover variety?

ETA: People that think we are going to take a step back in offense, can't be more wrong. This offense will be better than 2007's. If we can match up on defense (or at least 2012 standard) Lookout!

I don't get why people immediately think this. Just because AJ isn't a traditional passer doesn't mean he won't be able to sling it.
