Be patient. I thought JJ was going to be a great QB for LSU after the bowl game against Georgia Tech.
I highly doubt that JJ ever led two consecutive drives with that much poise and command of the passing game as AJ did. Aside from the pass in coverage that Landry had to fight for, the guy looked totally different than JJ ever looked.
Now that I think of it, the only comparison that you could possibly make between the two is their color and that is a huge no no. The two players couldn't have more different approaches to the game from each other.
JJ was so afraid of throwing a pick that he was horrible on timing routes and pretty much only threw to guys who had already gotten wide open. This is why he had to hang his passes on a rope so often because the secondary was often closing the gap that the receiver had just created on his break. JJ never trusted his receivers to do their jobs and get that separation. Heck, even if a receiver had a DB beaten five yards on a damn streak, JJ would overthrow him just to make sure that the receiver was the only player who could possible make a play on that ball. It was the most frustrating time to watch the LSU offense in my 35 years of fandom.
AJ, in contrast, seems to have great confidence not only in his receiver's ability to create separation and fight for the ball but he is confident in his ability to read what the defense is doing. It's too early to talk about his ability to go thru progressions ut it is obvious that he is a pocket passer and a damned good one. He simply has the option to go into Best mode and turn a failed pass play into a gain with his legs instead of throwing it away. This is the biggest reason why I am personally very excited that he will be our starter since Mett really never did that unless it was pretty much a do or die play.
On top of all of that, Coach Cam is going to have him looking a lot like how Mett looked with his techniques and mental aspect of the game. That in itself is a huge advantage over having JJ at QB.
I could go on and on but I am already long winded enough already so just don't compare those two again or you will just look foolish once again.

Can you comprehend anything i posted on this thread. Please re read them 5 times and maybe you will understand what i am saying.
The only comparison i have made you frickin idiot is that JJ started strong in his first real game and then became a bust. AJ started real strong in his first game and lets hope he doesn't bust.
That is it. That simple.
How do you pull race into it and style of QB? Your handle should just be Dick.
