Vary your retrieve like bass fishing until you figure out what they like. If under a cork in cool/cold weather pop it slow and let it sit, vary depths.
I like chartreuse beetle, purple and white or purple gold tail (LSU) cocahoe. White beetles also always work.
Brown Lures make a big ugly looking pink lure thaty is money for me but you got to get them online.

This but with cold weather slow usually works best. And find the deepest water you can if it is cold.
