Acadiana already beat Rummel pretty comfortably this year. Just sayin'.

So did St. Augustine and by the same point margin. So the Purple Knights should have no problem beating them in the playoffs en route to the state championship......oh, wait.

Acadiana had 6 fumbles and a blocked punt, and still won by 14. They had 452 rushing yards without their best RB. Acadiana was the better team that night. The post I was replying to was asking who would be favored in 5-A without a split. I'm not saying that Rummel couldn't beat Acadiana, they very well could, Acadiana only lost a few of those fumbles in the first game so it could have been worse. But in my eyes I wouldn't say that Rummel would be favorites in a non split 5-A. They may not have even made it to the Semi's in 5-A non select

If Acadiana where to play Rummel again they would beat them by 3 touchdowns. This team has matured since their first meeting. If Acadiana doesn't put the ball on the ground, there is NOBODY in the state of Louisiana that can hang.
