I don't know, I'm honestly terrified of Belgium and I think they'll do better than Germany next summer. I honestly haven't seen the Ivory Coast play in a while so I may be overrating them a bit based on past tournaments.

But I decided to do one more to see if I could get a better draw and ended up with Spain, US, France, Portugal

So I am new to soccer and I am confused by the draw. Do they draw names out of a hat for the 3 non-seeded groups? Or is there an organized way of seeding them?

Its probably a retarded question but I don't know how its done.

Thanks

The Ivorians have failed to impress at any major tournament during their so-called Golden Generation. Yaya Touré is obviously one of the best midfielders in the world, but their defense is average at best. They've also been huge chokers against mid-level competition in the African Cup of Nations.

Belgium, and Colombia for the same reason, is anyone's guess at this point. It's really hard to get an idea of how well a country will fare without any player's with real major international tournament experience.

We pulled out a draw against Russia in Russia last year, but that was a weird game all around. Russia has been really sporadic with their results of late. Dominate Portugal, lose to Northern Ireland. Destroy the Czech Republic, look inept against an only slightly less inept Greece during Euro 2012.

Just Drew the same:
Belgium
USA
Ivory Coast
Russia

I am the biggest Belgium homer on this board, and even I think I this is crazy talk. If this World Cup was in Europe, Germany would be the clear favorite.
