My $.02. It may have been going on for years, but the success of Kevin Faulk at Carencro at QB encouraged other LA HS coaches to put their best athlete at QB. The pure qbs coming out of LA either went elsewhere or were too raw to spend time developing once they got to college. I think with the increase in 7-on-7 style camps , LSU can land more local qbs.

Like most just posted, in high school the ball should touch the hands of the best athlete every play.
