He's the one that starts all this shite. He talks Joel in to getting a hooker with his "what the frick" speech. He talks a big game, acts like he has all the answers.

But when Llana takes the egg and Joel goes to Miles, he doesn't want to help because he has a Trig midterm tomorrow. Then, after Joel guilts him in to helping him find Llana, and they get chased by Guido, Miles is in the back seat about to puke.

Finally, when Llana comes up with the idea for the house party to raise money to get the egg back, Miles feels like he has to tell Joel that he's too cool to pay for sex. Yeah Miles, sure, I'm sure you SLAY. If Miles got laid that night, it was his first time, and he paid for it.
