Poor FT shooting (which was around 60% last year and this year = no improvement), a mediocre defense that seems to let people drive by them at times (this is still a watch in progress, but I expect it is not going to get much better), and not making a pass on fast breaks points towards a lack of coaching.
Look at the programs that are top tier each year with great coaches. They always play defense, are good free throw shooters, and are unselfish on offense. The ebbs and flows of these top programs stem from the offense talent that the team has from year-to-year (recruiting) but coaching is always consistent in the other phases of the game.
