Well you certainly don't know which year LSU beat UT in the SEC CG...that is a start. Secondly, Chavis had LSU playing the best defense that has ever been played by an LSU program in 2011.
The problem on defense is not coaching...it is personnel. Defensive line is just flat out bad and that is making a very talented back 7 look worse than they are. Our d line has been traditionally 7-8 men deep for the last 5-6 years. Now we are struggling to put 4 in there with that same level of talent and execution. When that is the case, the back end of games are a lot harder. Look at 2011 where Oregon just wanted to quit in the 3rd quarter when they were on offense. Now the LSU d line is the one that looks beat up and ready to quit that late in the game.
Stud does need to go though...he should not have been retained after being such a failure at OC and OL coach last year. I anticipate we will have a new oline coach by the beginning of spring...probably pull the trigger after NSD

So on the D, it is the personnel that is the problem but on the OLD it is the coaching that is the problem. Please expand on how this conclusion was drawn? Not saying you are wrong but provide 3 examples on each side of the indivual units that show you indefinitely it is players or coaches.
